After completing a five year residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery, Dr. House pursued research as a fellow at the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles (no relation to his family). Following this time in research he completed a clinical fellowship at the House Ear Clinic. This combined center is the most prestigious center in the world for disorders of the ear and ear surgery. Most advancements in the field have occurred at the House Ear Institute. In 1993, he returned to Mississippi and started the Jackson Ear Clinic. Since that time, he has provided otologic and neurotologic services to the people of Mississippi and surrounding states.  In April of 2004 Dr. House received his subspecialty certification in neurotology by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He was in the first class to receive this subspecialty certification, and is the only physician in Mississippi with certification in neurotology. He is a past president of the Central Medical Society, has served on the board of Directors of the Mississippi State Medical Association, as President of the Magnolia Speech School, as Vice President of the Mississippi Society of Otolaryngology, Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at UMC, and on the Board of Directors of the Christian Medical Society.
